Two million crystals, 69 outfits and 31 sets of angel wings: How the $12m Victoria's Secret Fashion Show stacks up
As many a hot-blooded male can verify, the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is fast-approaching. Due to be aired at the end of the month, the lingerie extravaganza is tomorrow being filmed in New York. The scantily-clad spectacle, will, as ever, be brimming with acres of perfectly toned flesh, over-the-top angel wings, impossibly pert buttocks, glittering, vertiginous heels and long locks. Alongside Miranda Kerr's show-stopping $2.5million Fantasy Treasure bra, will be the Passion Play Fan Wings, seven years in the making. The antique copper wings are plated with 23-carat gold and are embellished with 105,000 Swarovski crystals. Designed and made in Sydney by Manik Mercian, the glistening prop weighs 22 pounds. South African bombshell Candice Swanepoel will open the show, and other models include Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge and Lindsey Ellingson.
