Andreas Slominski

이미지
I took pictures in Artbasel hongkong 2018. With a reputation for eccentricity특별함, wit, and intellect, Andreas Slominski produces concept-driven works that explore daily experience and personal obsession . Slominski established his provocative reputation with a series of humorous interventions —planting a dead tree stump among the lindens of Berlin, staging an art show opening with no art except the artist himself lurking잠복하다 in the hedges산울타리, coaxing달래다 a giraffe to lick a stamp. His best known works are sculptural installations that transform everyday objects into curious occasions for reflection and interaction, as in his 2005 exhibition of a series of "traps" set for various creatures. For  Sperm  (2012) , he (allegedly) splashed gallery walls and floors with the semen of men and bulls. Andreas Slominski was born in Meppen, Germany, in 1959. He attended the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Hamburg, from 1983 to 1986. Since 1984, when he was struck by the s...

Tony Cragg

이미지
I found this artist,Tony Cragg, in Art basel Hongkong. I research about him. Tony Cragg's early work involved site-specific installations of found objects and discarded materials . From the mid-1970s through to the early 1980s he presented assemblages in primary structures (as in his first mature piece, the 1975 Stack)as well as in colourful, representational reliefs on the floors and walls of gallery spaces (as in Red Indian of 1982-3). Cragg constructed these early works by systematically arranging individual fragments of mixed materials, often according to their artificial colours and profiles, so as to form larger images. Britain Seen from the North (1981) is a signature early work, made of multi-coloured scraps of various materials assembled in relief on the wall. The piece depicts the outline of the island of Great Britain, orientated sideways so that Northern Britain is positioned to the left. The island is scrutinized면밀히살피다 by a figure, representing Cragg hims...

PABLO BRONSTEIN

이미지
Though Pablo Bronstein's particular visual language is diverse in medium and style, it is fundamentally rooted in the discipline of architecture . His drawings, sculptures, books, installations, and performances are all uniquely informed by period designs and quintessential historical buildings— the Italian baroque, French neo-classicism, and 20 th  century modernism and postmodernism are evidenced alike throughout Bronstein’s beautiful and subtle미묘한,절묘한 oeuvre. 오브하,모든 작품 Acting as artist-architect, Bronstein imagines and plans his structures with the specific intention of exploring not only the demarcation경계 of private and public spaces but also quietly critiquing the social and political elements that play into realizing magnificent feats of civil engineering. Bronstein has had solo exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, Tate Britain in London, Galleria Franco Noero in ...

Aoyama Satoru

이미지
Art Basel Hong Kong 2018 Booth  #1B38   29 - 31 March 2018 I went there to watch these wonderful artwork. Waste of labour power, News from Nowhere, Record, Map of the world, Embroiders Although he is Japanese by birth, he does not view his art strictly as 'Japanese', but rather operating in dialogue with other global trends and the history of art. He says; 'when I talk with Jim Lambie, I don't talk to him as a Japanese artist talking to a Scottish artist, but as two artists operating internationally'. Satoru's practice blurs the distinction between different media as he uses photographs as a base foundation and then embroiders over the image. He believes the black of thread is stronger than the black pigment of paint and that his use of embroidery enables him to pursue that depth of blackness. He frequently makes use of traditional subject matter found in classical oil paintings. The process of making is important for Satoru and he hopes ...
