My life is about having relationships with people who trust me to tell their story,” #AD100 designer @immoniquegibson says. Her own home in the East Village of Manhattan proves it, being a sunny, breezy laboratory for the ideas she will present or has presented to her clients. A flock of birds—a study for a mural in an upstate New York house—whips up the stairwell. Pictured here at the foot of those stairs, a daring wheat-paste image of a woman covers one wall. “This is for a client in France,” Gibson explains. “He has a chapel on the property but is not particularly religious. I thought street art would be interesting, so I commissioned the artist @swoonhq to create what I call modern Madonnas.” After seeing the wheat-paste example at Gibson’s place, the client was sold. The latest Maison @bottegaveneta recently launched in Manhattan, following those in Milan and Beverly Hills, and it is the biggest: 15,000 seductive square feet spread over three 19th-century townhouses at 740 Madison Avenue. The exteriors have been restored to Age of Innocence perfection—creative director @mr.tomasmaier, a passionate architecture buff, is on World Monuments Fund’s advisory committee—grounding the store in the city’s streetscape narrative. The interiors are Italian suave정중한, but Manhattan references abound. Basaltina floors recall the asphalt thoroughfare outside. Bronze surfaces conjure마술하다 up the sun glinting off skyscrapers. On the top floor, the maids’ rooms have been punched out to create a grand vault금고 that follows the original angled rooflines, pictured here. Home goods are displayed beneath that vault, joined by a rotating sale collection of modernist art from @robilantvoenagallery, one of Maier’s favorite galleries. • It seems fitting that @sharonstone first crossed paths with her interior designer, @douglastruesdale, in a meet-cute worthy of a Hollywood rom-com. “I was waiting in line for a protein shake when I heard someone behind me say, ‘Jeez, buddy, do you work out much?’ I turned around and it was Sharon Stone,” Truesdale recalls. Their friendship quickly escalated to a working relationship and they began a four-year renovation of her home. Truesdale and Stone focused on everything from paint colors and fabrics to room layouts. On the main floor, they added a partial wall with mirrored pocket doors to divide the cavernous living room into two distinct zones. Now Stone can entertain friends on the more formal side of the space while her three sons—Roan, Laird, and Quinn—watch television and play games on the other. Beneath the living room’s amethyst자수성-tone ceiling, @minotti_spa sofas face off, and Basquiat and Zhang Xiaogang paintings fill the white walls. See more of the home through the link in our profile. • Although it looks as if it might have been the abode거주지 of some screen siren from Hollywood’s Golden Age, @sharonstone’s current house was still in construction when she acquired it, allowing the actress to put her imprint on the architecture. “I worked with a château restorer to give the place texture and a sense of history. We installed an antique-tile floor from Agra in the powder room off the foyer and brought in the dining-room floor from a château in Switzerland. I also put in the moldings, mantels, and other architectural details that are so essential to the integrity of the space.” Take a look inside the home she shares with her three sons via the #linkinbio.
