Surrealism Collection

My artwork has been chosen to feature in one of Sigulart collections.

Surrealism was a 20th-century artistic movement that began in France, championed by writers such as Apollinaire and André Bréton, who wrote that Surrealism's goal was to bring together 'the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality into an absolute reality, a super-reality'.

Numerous celebrated artists including Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and René Magritte were Surrealists, and pushed the boundaries of modern art. They painted scenes that seemed almost lifelike in their detail, but were illogical, confusing and dreamlike. They created strange scenes using everyday elements to allow the self-expression of the unconscious.

In the 21st century, SINGULART's contemporary artists are inspired by these principles and works of art, painting surreal scenes that could have emerged from a dream. Discover our selection of surreal paintings that challenge the very definition of reality.
