 I'm pleased to participate in the group exhibition "Apophenia: Accidental Connections" at E.N. Gallery. For this exhibition, I will present Quiet Odds , a work created with traditional Korean lacquer (Ottchil) and mother-of-pearl. The term apophenia refers to the human tendency to perceive meaningful connections among seemingly unrelated things. Bringing together artists with different backgrounds, the exhibition explores how unexpected encounters can generate new meanings.   Everyone is unique, but most people share a similar mindset. When it comes to hate, do individuals truly have vastly different perspectives? I have displayed my artworks in The Star Hue golf club restaurant,S.Korea. There, they will offer a richer experience than if they remained in my warehouse. Through these artworks, I find meaning in my life. At that time, I was paying homage to Mark Rothko. He was commissioned to create paintings for the Four Seasons restaurant in the Seagram Building, a luxury landmark in New York. However, he felt betrayed by the project and, years later, took his own life. I imagined his emotions—his sense of disillusionment. He carried a different energy, a rebellious spirit. Can there be a new version of rebellion in life’s ever-changing journey?                 My artwork has been chosen to feature in one of Sigulart collections. Surrealism was a 20th-century artistic movement that began in France, championed by writers such as Apollinaire and André Bréton, who wrote that Surrealism's goal was to bring together 'the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality into an absolute reality, a super-reality'. Numerous celebrated artists including  Joan Miró , Salvador  Dalí  and René Magritte were Surrealists, and pushed the boundaries of modern art. They painted scenes that seemed almost lifelike in their detail, but were illogical, confusing and dreamlike. They created strange scenes using everyday elements to allow the self-expression of the unconscious.   Yellow is a primary color, meaning it cannot be created by mixing other hues. The artist Josef Albers is renowned for his color theory that revolutionized modern art, and you can see his fascination with the color yellow in his paintings. Yellow evokes unique symbolism and atmospheres. When it becomes gold, it has holy and religious connotations. A source of light, yellow can represent the glow of a warm fire, a bold neon light, or a sun whose rays illuminate its surroundings. The abstract paintings in the Yellow Collection demonstrate power and brilliant radiance. When a composition includes a diverse array of colors, yellow balances and unites them.
